How our questions work

In a banking interview, a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer. Here's what goes into every question, so you can trust what you're practising.

  1. Written from scratch. Every question, answer and flashcard is our own, written for UK interviews.
  2. Assumptions stated. Every question says what it assumes (for example a 25% tax rate, the UK main rate), so there's one correct answer.
  3. Numbers checked automatically. Calculations are checked by software, and every three-statement walk-through has to balance.
  4. Every option explained. Each wrong answer says why it's wrong, so you learn from the mistake you actually made.
  5. Disagreements flagged. Where banks or textbooks genuinely differ, we say so and explain both views instead of pretending there's one answer.

Spotted a mistake?

Every question has a Report a mistake button. We read every report and fix confirmed errors quickly.

Bank information

Recruiting processes change every year. Each fact on our bank pages is labelled: from the bank itself, reported by several candidates, or a single report, with a link to the source and the date we last checked it. Always check the bank's own careers site before you apply.
